As we continue grow in delivering new solutions to both our existing, and new customers, we require a UX/UI specialist to keep our user interaction and user interfaces ahead of the competition. Working together with our product team, project office, team leads, and system architects, you will be responsible for prototyping & designing new products, as well as upgrading our existing systems to deliver a superior user interface.

Purpose:

You will be required to assist with the provision of a comprehensive and effective service to support the smooth and efficient running of the Support Desk. You will also be required to communicate effectively and courteously with a range of internal personnel and work as part of a team within the service support function delivering a high quality service

You will be offered a permanent contract with the company, linked to an apprenticeship qualification.

You will undertake training to study towards a level 3 NVQ diploma in IT User Skills, which will be arranged over an 18 month period. This will include attending regular appointments with your course assessor and completing set coursework within the working week.

A comprehensive company training plan will be offered to cover the technical elements of the role within the four days per week in the office. You will also be allocated a mentor to support you during the training programme and a regular review process will be implemented.

 

Key objectives:

  • This will include acting as first point of contact and 1st Line IT Support to our Staff:
  • To record IT related requests and incidents 
  • To undertake a variety of first contact fixes, such as password resets for customers, unlock Accounts
  • Assist in maintaining the Asset Database
  • Assist in the building and configuration of PCs and laptops,
  • Assist in the setting up of new starters ensuring they can access all systems.
  • Troubleshooting hardware including laptops and desktops, 

 

Skills required:

The successful candidate will need to be educated to GCSE level including English, Maths and ICT or equivalent level. You will be required to have experience and knowledge of IT Systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power point, and a keen interest in desktop hardware. It is essential that the candidate has the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and work in accordance with policies and procedures.
